Mike Hailwood
Hailwood’s father had several motorcycle shops and so Hailwood was lucky to get a bike at a very young age. He won 76 GP victories and 9 world titles across 125cc, 250cc, 350cc and 500cc. He raced at a time when there was low chassis technology. It was necessary back then that one tire must last for a long time. However, Hailwood was technophobic, so it really didn’t matter how poor the technology was back then. His talent was in the ability to ride any motorcycle and take it to the edge right away.
